Acosta Lynie Bibal, a Filipino domestic helper, was convicted after trial of three charges of dealing with property known or believed to represent proceeds of an indictable offence involving a total of HK$1.15 million passing through her bank accounts. She was sentenced to 42 months' imprisonment with enhanced deterrence under section 27(11) of OSCO.
